Circulating Pumps

The Company started life forty years ago as Sundstrand Pumps, a subsidiary of the Sundstrand Corporation of America, to produce lightweight circulators, the forerunners to the present product range, for use on small-bore central heating systems.

In 1970, UK production was established at the present site at Kings Lynn, Norfolk, and in 1976, the company was acquired by Myson Group, one of Europe’s largest, specialist manufacturers of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment.  Hot on the acquisition trail Myson acquired Thorn Heating and SMC (see news) and the entire domestic, commercial and aquatic production was moved to the current site at King's Lynn.  Subsequently acquired by Blue Circle and then Baxi Heating, a management team headed by Fraser Douglas, chief executive of Myson Pumps, acquired the business from its parent company in July 2001, and changed its name to Circulating Pumps Limited.
